Shorter-Gooden Consulting is a diversity consulting and training firm, based in Washington, DC and led by Kumea Shorter-Gooden, Ph.D., who is a clinical/community psychologist, former professor, and a former two-time Chief Diversity Officer (at Alliant International University and the University of Maryland, College Park). Shorter-Gooden Consulting has recently been awarded a contract to develop a diversity and inclusion framework for a major, national professional association. The Position The Research Associate will provide research and administrative support for the development of the diversity framework, working with and supervised by Dr. Shorter-Gooden. The Research Associate will conduct literature searches, review source documents, oversee the administration of a survey to stakeholders, synthesize and summarize information, draft reports, and provide organizational and administrative support. The position is part-time from early July 2018 until December 21, 2018 for 8 to 12 hours per week. The Research Associate will work from their own location using their own computer and business equipment. Location in the Washington, DC area is ideal, but not required. Compensation will be at a rate of $25 or more per hour, depending on experience. Job Responsibilities

Job Summary
The Community Health PrEP Navigator provides HIV, STD, and general health and wellness related education in one-on-one and group sessions, conducting specific outreach to targeted populations as dictated by programmatic needs. The PrEP Navigator provides support, education and guidance to clients at high-risk for HIV with the goal of supporting access and adherence to PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis) to prevent HIV infection. This person will follow-up with clients by phone and in person to try to engage them in services. The Community Health PrEP Navigator will report directly to the Director of Community Health and Wellness and will work in collaboration with the Medical Adherence Department, the Behavioral Health Department, Public Benefits & Insurance Navigation, and other departments throughout the health center. The Community Health PrEP Navigator will participate in Whitman-Walker Health activities as necessary, as well as any trainings, and will follow the direction set forth by Whitman-Walker Health. Knowledge, Skills, and Talents Required
A 37.50-hour work week is a general requirement, with a flexibility of schedule – shifts may sometimes include evening and occasional weekend hours. Some early morning and late evening coverage may be required depending on scheduling requirements. This position will be located at 1525 with some coverage requirements at MRC, Mobile, and Eastern Market. Education and Experience Required
Working Conditions: Working conditions for this position are normal for an office environment. Individual will be expected to work occasional evenings and/or weekends and must be available to staff events outside of the office environment. Physical Demands:
