We are parents of an affectionate 19 year old boy. We live in Fairfax, VA near George Mason University. Our son has significant developmental delays. He is a visual learner and uses some sign language, prompting, verbal approximations and a talker device to communicate his wants and needs. We are interested in hiring enthusiastic, creative male (prefer) or female students with patience and a passion to make a difference in someone's life. We provide you with the tools and techniques to use with our son. The applicant should be dependable, punctual, ready to work collaboratively with the family to provide companionship services. They should be able to work with us to help improve our son's speech, social and play skills etc. in a nurturing and supportive environment. A commitment of two hours per day during weekdays and over the weekends would be great, but we are flexible. We will be paying $15 per hour (negotiable for the right candidate). Job Description: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Shift: after school and evening hours Location (State/City): Burke, Fairfax, Springfield, Woodbridge, Chantilly Registered Behavior Technician Responsibilities include: · Implementing treatment plan/behavior reduction procedures created and supervised by BCBA · Collecting data according to individualized treatment plans · Reporting client progress to supervisor · Participating in meetings to review client progress · Providing assistance in parent and/or tutor training · Providing assistance in the development of program and creation of teaching materials Qualifications: · Excellent interpersonal skills · Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, or related field is preferred We are currently seeking candidates for our Spring internship program, which runs from late-January through May. Abstract key data elements into the DCP database, DESK, regarding studies, reviews, and milestones to support study tracking and workload management for DCP staff. e. Abstract key information including data elements, milestones and treatment descriptors into the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP) database currently known as the Study Abstraction Review & Tracking System (START) for the NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) trials, in addition to abstraction of those trials also into the DCP database. f. Track study development from the early ideas for studies through review, approval, implementation, and completion. g. Set up formal review meetings, coordinate and document results, and send reviews to investigative sites. h. Provide reports, both routine and ad hoc, to DCP staff to aid in study tracking and program analysis and resource allocation. i. Provide education to DCP staff and collaborators on administrative policies and procedures regarding clinical trial development and management.
