We are parents of an affectionate 19 year old boy. We live in Fairfax, VA near George Mason University. Our son has significant developmental delays. He is a visual learner and uses some sign language, prompting, verbal approximations and a talker device to communicate his wants and needs. We are interested in hiring enthusiastic, creative male (prefer) or female students with patience and a passion to make a difference in someone's life. We provide you with the tools and techniques to use with our son. The applicant should be dependable, punctual, ready to work collaboratively with the family to provide companionship services. They should be able to work with us to help improve our son's speech, social and play skills etc. in a nurturing and supportive environment.
