The Lourie Center for Children's Social-Emotional Wellness Therapeutic Nursery Program (TNP), is seeking a psychology extern to work as an aide in the classroom. The TNP is an early intervention program serving children ages 3-5 years old who have social and emotional challenges. Externs work in the classroom, at least two days a week. The TNP runs as a preschool from 8am-noon. Externs also participate in morning and afternoon team meetings with a multidisciplinary staff, and assist in preparations for the TNP graduation ceremony.
Must have at least one year experience working with children and families in a child care or therapeutic setting. The position is unpaid, but clinical psychology graduate students can receive supervision from a licensed psychologist and earn hours for internship.
