Our clinical research team (led by Randi Streisand, Ph.D. and Maureen Monaghan, Ph.D.) is looking for undergraduate students with an interest in health and/or child psychology to assist with on-going projects conducted through Children’s National Medical Center. Studies explore adherence and child and parental adjustment to type 1 diabetes. Research opportunities include:

The National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental health conditions. A HelpLine internship offers an especially valuable opportunity for psychology students providing hands-on experience working with people living with a mental health condition and their family members. What Should I Know about NAMI HelpLine Internships?
The NAMI office is very close to the Orange/Silver Line’s Virginia Square Metro Station and a subsidy is provided. Free parking is also provided in the lot adjacent to the NAMI office. Training is provided through an individualized, self-paced program that is usually completed during the volunteer or intern’s first week or two.
