Looking for a one-to-one aid for my son during camp this coming summer. My son is 7 years old, autistic, and has the biggest heart of anyone I know. (I am biased.) He receives IEP services during the school year, and this year in particular is having some challenges including elopement and dysregulation. His summer camp is requesting the one-to-one to ensure his safety. In this role, you will provide support and supervision throughout the camp day, ensure smooth transitions and routines, and support my son through potential issues with communication (such as hearing and following directions) and emotional regulation (such as taking time to calm down as needed). Days/Times: Mon–Fri, June 24–August 2, 9am–3:30pm (off for July 4) *The times can also be extended if a candidate is interested in more hours. Area of specialization is open, and the department is particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching interests overlap with topics related to diverse populations and equity. Applicants must be committed to a teacher-scholar model, demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching with students from varying backgrounds, and maintain a productive research program. Candidates also must be committed to advising and mentoring undergraduate students. Teaching responsibilities would include teaching one or more core courses in introductory psychology, statistics, and/or research methods, as well as courses in the candidates’ areas of expertise.
